Roma are very serious on Antonio Conte. According to the Corriere dello Sport, “The former coach of Juventus, after a year of sabbatical, wants to return to a first-class club, one that has ambitious programs. Everyone likes him and in the front row, there are clubs with greater potential than Roma. He already had contact with Bayern Munich and even PSG are interested. The French club recently renewed contract of their current coach Thomas Tuchel but the relationship with the Sheikh president is not great.
“These two clubs offer projects and money that are simply out of Roma’s reach but perhaps this time these won’t be the deciding factors to bring in Conte. In Italy, there are also Inter, Juventus and Milan with the Rossoneri further back in the pack. But Marotta is already talking about confirming Spalletti and Agnelli is doing the same with Allegri. But then again, Conte is making €9M a year and Roma would never be able to reach this figure. Conte craves the desire to get back to work and he wants to close it all by early May to start planning with the new club.”
