The future of Mauro Icardi will be decided at the end of the season but the hypothesis of him going to Atletico Madrid is starting to take shape. According to the Corriere della Sera, the truce between the player and Inter is only temporary and that the will of management is to turn the page.
“He does have admirers but no one is willing to go crazy for him, who is not considered a top player. Juventus and a possible exchange with Dybala has cooled down,” but the hypothesis of Atletico Madrid is getting warmer. The Milanese newspaper believes that Simeone is convinced that he can keep Morata but he does not have the same feeling with guys like Costa and Griezmann.
Simeone has made it clear with management that “if one of those two players leaves, then the club must focus on Icardi. Atletico in fact have already contacted Wanda. This is a pleasing destination to the couple because the club is prestigious and there will be no language problems even for Wanda herself who will manage to get time on TV market.”
The figure seems to be around €75M while Icardi could get a wage of €7M a year plus bonuses. With that money, Inter would go after a replacement and there are two names: Dzeko and Jovic.
