Piero Ausilio is in London. Officially, there is no transfer meeting on the agenda but the Inter sporting director will take the opportunity to attend the big match between Tottenham and Manchester City. According to FCIN, Inter will have two new midfielders in the summer, one Italian and one foreigner. For the latter, one name that really pleases Inter management is Ilkay Gundogan, German national of Turkish origin.
Last summer, Suning already asked for information but Guardiola declared him not for sale at €60M. But things have changed. Gundogan, in fact, has an expiring contract in 2020 and City are negotiating for other midfielders. Basically, a new contract here is anything but a certainty.
This scenario could pave the way for a sale this summer and Inter are ready. Giuseppe Marotta loves Gundogan type of player as the former Juventus director tried to sign him from Dortmund three years ago.
