Inter continue pushing for Ilkay Gundogan who is the first choice for the midfield. Contacts have already started for some time and this Italian option really intrigues the player who believes that his Premier League cycle at Manchester City is over.
To sign him, top wage is required. The latest figure going around is 9 million per season for three years on a free transfer. This is the solution initially proposed by the club of Suning but it is hardly feasible because the German midfielder aims to leave already this year and not next summer when his contract expires.
Contacts will continue in the coming days with City wanting to make 25 million euros. There is also Bayern Munich which have appreciated the players for many years, even before his transition to Manchester City.
The German club is ready to offer rich four-year contract. This is a hypothesis to keep an eye on because Gundogan is a great friend of Mats Hummels and Robert Lewandowski and all three are maintaining contact and so Ilkay is making reflections.
There is also Real Madrid but to Florentino Perez, the player is only second or third option. This scenario does not excite him who wants to have a big role in his new club. This is why Inter still have high chances of landing Gundogan.
