Inter have blocked Diego Godin, the pillar of Uruguayan national team and Atletico Madrid of Simeone, for next season. There is an agreement with the player whose contract will expire at the end of the season: two-year deal, plus an option for the third. The basis of this contract is being defined and in the coming weeks, details, medical examinations and signature should arrive.
Godin will turn 33 years old this February and remains a starter for Atletico Madrid: 13 games in La Liga, 4 in the Champions League, despite a muscular injury that kept him out of action for a month between November and December. And starting July, Diego Godin is going to play for Inter and just the thought of him, Skriniar and De Vrij playing together (or rotating in and out throughout the season) is enough to excite Interisti for years to come.
