Matteo Politano once again confirmed in Genoa that he is a precious element for Spalletti. The Gazzetta dello Sport believes that the game against the Rossoblu is another example to convince Inter of redeeming the Italian winger at the end of the season.
The numbers are on his side, “he is first in chances created (45) and assist (4). Politano is second only behind Perisic in total shots (60) and crosses (104). He is third behind Icardi and Perisic in terms of shots on goal (16). Perhaps Inter were expecting a few more goals seeing how he got 10 last season but even though that Politano is less decisive on that front (4 goals in Serie A), Matteo is ending this season as a protagonist.
“This is why Marotta and Ausilio have been working for some time to redefine the operation with Sassuolo. Matteo arrived in Milan on loan for €7M and redemption requires another €20M. The goal of Inter management is to reduce that figure, perhaps by entering a technical counterpart such as Emmers.”
