Diego Godin will sign a three-year contract with a wage that can reach €6.75M per season. According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, with that figure, the Uruguayan defender will be the highest paid player in the Inter squad.
Inter gave in on the player’s request of wanting a three-year deal: the club of Suning initially only offered two years. He won but at the same time he will bring international experience and charisma to Inter squad that needs such players and characters to grow.
Godin, Skriniar and De Vrij will form a trio that can play well together. They can either do that in a different formation with a three-man defense or they can be in a high quality rotation that is rarely seen, even in the biggest clubs in Europe.
