Mauro Icardi has been back training with the team for a few days now after missing out on the action since mid-February.
“This return took place in a serene, almost ritualistic way as it had always been until February 13th when Mauro was demoted as captain in favor of Samir Handanovic. Everything went smoothly, with a few glances of understanding and exchanges with his teammates, to put aside old grudges for the good of Inter before all else.”
Whatever comes later will come but a common goal is one: a sort of pact to bring Inter to next season’s Champions League.
For Icardi, he must continue doing what he does best: to score goals. For Inter, the team must avoid further blackouts to continue cementing its position in the top four. And for Spalletti, he knows that his future will always linked to achieving objectives set by the club.
Icardi knows what he needs to do to win back the fans while Spalletti will have the task of managing him and the team until the end of the season.
