Speaking to Sky Sport, Milan Skriniar talks about the challenge against Roma this weekend.

“It is certainly a very important game, a direct confrontation and we must win. And if we do, we would go 9 points ahead of the Giallorossi. Milan? They have dropped many points but they can bounce back. We lost versus Lazio, a game that we could have won, but now it is the past and we must look forward.”

Skriniar also has a lot of nice things to say about Dzeko, Roma striker.

“Dzeko is a good forward as I have always said. He is strong physically and has a great shot with left or right foot. We have to be careful and focused.”

The number 37 of Inter then goes on to talk about how the team is doing after the situation of Mauro Icardi.

“We are all united. This is the time to stay focused and show that we are a team made of strong men. Icardi? It is not very important who wears the captain’s armband. Wearing it doesn’t change the way that you play. Am I going to be captain? It is not important. I have always given my best.”

Objectives for the rest of the season?

“We must think about our objective which is the Champions League although we are hoping to improve on our position compared to last season and trying to overcome Napoli for second place, given that there is still one more direct confrontation. How much do we lack to fight for the Scudetto? This year, a lot. But starting next season, we want to fight to stay as high as possible where Inter deserve.”

Last topic of the day is about playing with De Vrij and comparison with Samuel.

“We are better defensively. I find myself doing well with Stefan. We get along well and we are also roommates. Comparison with Samuel? He was truly a wall but I am pleased and it gives me confidence that his comparison is made by the fans. I am ready to be a leader for Inter in the coming years.”
