It is a head-to-head between Inter and Napoli for Agustin Almendra, 2000-born central midfielder of Boca Juniors. This news emerged yesterday and immediately echoed throughout Italy where people are still trying to understand the state of negotiation.
Speaking to Radio CRC, Matias Bustos Milla, Clarin journalist, reveals that “Napoli are negotiating for Almendra on the basis of 15 million with the idea of leaving him there until June. Also, in the past few days, there was contact with Inter through Burdisso (new Boca director). Boca do not want to sell Almendra as their discussion with Inter and Napoli is for June. The Nerazzurri seem to be the favorite because they are proposing loan between12-18 months. This formula would allow Boca to still have the player in the long run.
“Who is Almendra? He is only 18 year sold and has a good physique. He has great physicality and technical ability. He is very similar to Bentancurt. Again, very physical and technical.”
