Andrea Ranocchia stays at Inter. The former captain, a very important player in Inter dressing room, had an expiring contract this June (€2.4M) but thanks to this agreement, the Italian will stay at Inter until 2021 at a lower wage of between €1.8M and €2M. At the end of this new contract, he will reach 10 years playing for the Nerazzurri after 195 appearances and 12 goals.
Andrea, now 31 years old, arrived at Inter from Bari in January 2011 and he immediately won the Coppa Italia. And in recent years, due to his professionalism, he has entered the hearts of many fans. “Same shirt, same colors. Still together,” he posted those words yesterday on Twitter.
Even in this difficult season, Ranoccchia did manage to make his contribution despite playing very little. Between February and March, he started against Benevento in the Coppa Italia and also the return leg in Europa League versus Rapid Vienna. Let’s not forget the debut in Inter attack in the defeat against Bologna at the San Siro.
With the arrival of Diego Godin and renewal of Ranocchia, the central defense of Inter seems done, given that Miranda will certainly leave while Skriniar and De Vrij are untouchable.
