According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are giving a consideration to Lorenzo Pellegrini (Roma) and Dennis Praet (Sampdoria). Both are more suited for the role of side midfielders in 4-3-3 but they have played as regista (pitch directors) before. The Roma player will become a viable option if he does not renew with his club: the current release clause of €30M (€15M immediately and another €15M in a year) is attractive.
The Sampdoria player is valued at €25M (was paid €9M in 2016), has a more affordable wage at €2M annually and has given us signs that perhaps he is ready to make a big leap in his career. The 24-year-old Belgian does not have much experience and his European curriculum is short but in the past, Inter have had a lot of fortunes doing business with Sampdoria (Skriniar, Icardi).
