Signing Cedric Soares and Diego Godin were not the only defensive movements made by Inter. In fact, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the club has started contact with Cristian Zapata whose contract is expiring with Milan.
The Colombian, 32 years old, started from the bottom but since the beginning of November, he became a starter putting together a positive first half of the season, so much so that he deserves the contract extension offered by the Rossoneri.
But here come Inter for a market derby. Zapata’s agent is Ivan Cordoba and thanks to a positive relationship, Inter are trying to convince the player to go to the other side of Milan. The Colombian is making €1.7M and could be convinced with a contract of two years, with the option for a third. At Inter, he would complete the central defense department, becoming the fourth defender after Skriniar, De Vrij and Godin. Miranda and Ranocchia are leaving.
