Interviewed by Rai Sport, Federico Pastorello, agent of Antonio Candreva, discusses the situation of the number 87 who was linked to a departure not only last summer but also this past January transfer market.

“Is he a central part of the Inter project? Let’s say that, from what we know, a market meeting happened and in the end Inter – in agreement with the coach – decided that Candreva should stay to make contribution. Until today, he has had very little minutes but he may have more in the future. He is a great professional and his goal was to stay and contribute. Antonio has always accepted the decisions (of the coach) but it is normal that all players would like to play.”

On Conte – “Was he in Milan? I do not know if he was there: maybe he was since everyone was talking about it. Although I strongly doubt that Inter can just go and contact a coach by taking him to headquarters on the last day of the transfer market. That being said, I believe that Spalletti’s project must move forward: it is normal that there are difficulties but evaluation must be made at the end of the season. First, everyone was enthusiastic and now there is a moment of decline and it is raining criticism.”
