Mauro Icardi has not scored for a while and today will be an opportunity to return smiling. The Gazzetta dello Sport points out that the last goal scored from open play was three months ago, at the Olimpico against Lazio and now the Argentinian looks to turn things around. Inter need a real Icardi, the one that debuted greatly in the Champions League, scoring four in six matches.

In the meantime, talks continue to give the Inter captain a new contract. First meeting between Wanda Nara and Marotta already took place to lower tension of the last two months. Starting next week, when January market is closed, everyday is a good day for a second meeting to take another step forward.

Figures are well known: €7M plus bonuses offered by Inter and both sides still need to talk release clause. Everyone will go ahead together because there is no need for tension now given the fact that there are three objectives to achieve in the next several months.
