Tuttosport is back talking about Mauro Icardi and what Inter are planning to do next in the incoming days.
“After days of making statements on Icardi, Inter have decided to put a brake on media aspect of this situation. Very soon, as promised, Giuseppe Marotta will present to Wanda Nara a new contract: €7M until 2023 (current deal expires in 2021). This offer would allow Icardi to confirm himself as the highest paid player on the team, even more than the future Inter signing in Diego Godin (€6.5M).
“The feeling, given the twist and turn that this story has taken us over the last couple of weeks, is that Wanda will consider the proposal but she will not accept it. The wife and agent of Mauro recently made numerous statements explaining that they never asked for a new contract and what happened in recent weeks has nothing to do with the economics of it and accepting a new offer now would be sending different message.”
