After organizing the 2018 World Cup in Russia, FIFA announced today that payments are going out under the Club Benefits program which will see a small share of the competition revenue allocated to those clubs whose players took part in the tournament last summer. In total, €209M will be disbursed to 416 clubs, representing a significant increase of almost 200% over previous edition in 2014.

Not surprisingly, clubs that will receive the most benefits are all top Europeans: Manchester City, Real Madrid, Tottenham, Barcelona, PSG, Chelsea, Manchester United, Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Monaco. Nice little chunk of change for Inter as well (second Italian only after the Bianconeri) which will receive almost €2M for having players participated in Russia.
