Whatever between Lorenzo Pellegrini and Inter wasn’t born yesterday. The club of Suning has had eyes on him when he was at Sassuolo but the midfielder decided to go back home to show gratitude to Roma two summers ago. This act of loyalty rewarded him a new contract until 2022, accompanied by a release clause of €30M.
At Inter, Giuseppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio are working on a strategy, knowing full well that Spalletti would be happy to coach Pellegrini again as he has known him since the time he was in the Roma youth academy. And so, a dialogue between these two clubs could soon be on the horizon. On the part of Roma, they are interested in Ionut Radu who is having an excellent season with Genoa.
Last summer, Monchi wanted Radu to be included in Nainggolan operation but Ausilio had already promised Genoa and included a buy-back clause of €15M. Radu is a great talent and obviously Zhang does not want to let this player slip away but he believes that Radu could be useful to improve Inter’s midfield, probably the club’s weakest point.
That being said, Inter have no intention of selling Radu outright, thus opening the door to a loan agreement. It is of course a starting point of possible negotiation but everything is yet to mature in this regard. But the feeling between Inter management and the Italian midfielder is strong and real. Speaking of Italian, there have been so much talks of Inter wanting Barella of Cagliari but in this case the cost would be extremely expensive as the Sardinian club does not want to give any discount.
