Mauro Icardi and Inter have made peace: from today onwards, the Argentinian striker is back with the team training together in Appiano Gentile.
According to the Corriere della Sera, an agreement was reached yesterday after many phone calls between Inter and the lawyer of Icardi family. Two important conditions are that Icardi will return to the team without the captain’s armband and also there won’t be any appointment on the agenda to talk new contract.
The lawyer (Nicoletti) would have liked a joint release of statement to express an official stance shared between the club and Mauro. Inter have postponed such move because it would put Spalletti and the team in a tighter spot. He is available to play against Lazio but it is difficult to see Mauro in the starting lineup.
Corsera also discusses the player’s future, describing it that “we will see at the end of the season. While Mauro still hopes to be considered the central element of a new Inter, the club does not rule out a divorce in the summer. The hypothesis of an exchange with Dybala remains more alive now than ever.”
