According to today’s edition of the Corriere dello Sport, the chances of Mauro Icardi getting a knee operation are becoming more concrete and as a result, he is likely to miss the rest of the season.

Last weekend, work of diplomacy between Giuseppe Marotta and lawyer Nicoletti did not produce any progress but instead, the distance between the striker and Inter has even expanded. The most obvious sign was his absence at the game against SPAL when he preferred to stay home (was at the stadium for Sampdoria and Rapid Vienna).

At the San Siro yesterday was Steven Zhang. It would have been an opportunity to cross path and perhaps to agree on that famous meeting date between the Inter striker and president: this meeting seemed fundamental just a couple of days ago to solve this situation.

Now, it is Icardi and his team that do not consider this meeting as decisive but they would like to meet nonetheless.
