Now it is practically all done, both parties only need to sort the final details and sign the contract. The agreement to renew contract between Inter and Andrea Ranocchia will happen. According to FCIN, in a couple of weeks, the Italian defender will officially bind himself to the Nerazzurri for another two seasons, with a salary of €1.5M, slightly lower than what he is currently making (€1.7M).
Fundamental to the success of this negotiation are Ranocchia’s willingness to stay in Milan, his abilities to always respond positively (very solid defender at least in these last two seasons) and also because of the player’s importance in the dressing room where Ranocchia is considered as a captain without the armband.
The Italian is highly valued by Luciano Spalletti as well as his possible successor in Antonio Conte. The three-man defense next season requires at least five, if not six, central defenders in the squad.
