“As of today, I have no intention to return to Portugal.”

Speaking to Correio da Manha, Jose Mourinho, recently sacked by Manchester United, dismisses the hypothesis of returning home where he began to take the first steps in his glorious managerial career.

“Today, there is no option for Benfica,” added the Special One. But instead, the Portuguese shows pleasure when heard the name of Real Madrid or Inter again.

“It would be a great honor but I am only speaking about it to you and no one else. When a coach, or a player, returns to his former club, it means that he did something positive. I felt that when I returned to Chelsea. When a professional returns or is invited to return, it is a great honor. If they want you back, it is because they know your value.

“Now I have the right to have a peace of mind to wait, to have time to reflect on myself and to analyze everything that I have experienced in recent years. With a peace of mind, I will be able to prepare for the next step.”
