James Pallotta dreams big for his Roma and has Antonio Conte as target for the bench next season. This is according to the Corriere della Sera which states that the Giallorossi president is looking for top-level names for the positions of directors and coach, with the full intention of bringing those who can rekindle the enthusiasm of the city and the team. This is where the name of Antonio Conte comes in as the former coach of Juventus will be out of contract with Chelsea this summer.
He is the first choice for Roma and it seems that first contacts started a few days ago. Just simple inquiries because “Conte, who wants to return coaching in Italy, is not only a target of Roma but also for Inter and Juventus, if Allegri were to leave Turin. The second issue is related to wages because Conte made €12M last year, a figure that no one in Italy can afford. Thus, it is up to him to give the Italian teams a discount in order to fulfill his desire of coaching in Italy again.”
