Mario Sconcerti, well-known journalist of Italian football, speaks about Inter’s difficult period.
“Spalletti has never built a winning team and this year, he was also unlucky: the choice of going after Nainggolan is now turned against him. A little bit of injuries, a little bit of the Belgian’s character, a little bit because Zaniolo is now doing well at Roma. But the problem is that Spalletti’s team (this Inter) has not changed over time. There are times in a game in which Inter seem capable of doing something extra but then they disappear and so maybe Inter, in a game, are a team that will disappear sooner or later. Then there is problem in midfield. Despite Spalletti’s best intuition to play Brozovic as regista (director), this team does not have any mezzali (side midfielder). He has not had it in years and for years, the transfer market has not given him this satisfaction.”
