Whatever the budget is for next summer, a good chunk of it will be used to beef up the midfield. The two great objectives remain Barella and Tonali, 1997-born and 2000-born midfielder respectively.
There is no need to discover Barella anymore: he is already the captain of Cagliari and has enchanted Roberto Mancini, imposing himself very well with the national team. The problem is related to his cost: president Giulini wants a figure close to 50 million just to sit down and start negotiation.
For his age, physical strength and quality, Barella is the perfect player on which to build the Inter of the future.
And then there is Tonali, one of the leaders of the U-19 team that came in second place in previous European Championship. He is going to be the leader of the U-21 very soon here as well.
In Serie B, he is the front runner to receive the title of the best young player in the league. His price? 30 million euros.
