Inter are doing a sort of casting to find its new left back. Dalbert will most likely pack it up in the summer and so Inter management is looking for a new player for the left side.
The name of Nicolas Tagliafico is taking off in recent weeks. The 1992-born Ajax fullback appreciated by Javier Zanetti for years as the Inter vice president has known him since his Banfield days. In the last two seasons, Ausilio and his assistant Baccin followed Tagliafico very closely first at Independiente and then now at Ajax. The player has finally shown great maturation this season at The Lancers in both the Dutch league and Champions League.
At the moment, Ajax are resisting and do not seem willing to sell the fullback, as it was also confirmed by his agent Ricardo Schlieper to FCIN yesterday. On Tagliafico there has been the pressing of Real Madrid for some time as the Spanish club already put forward an offer of €25M which was rejected by Ajax. But Florentino Perez will return.
Inter are observing the situation and keeping in touch with the player’s Italian representatives in Giovanni and Giacomo Branchini who was in Turin on Tuesday night for Juventus-Ajax. Due to suspension, Tagliafico did not play but he is ready to return in the semifinals against Tottenham.
